King's Arms Church is a Christian church, started in 1992, which has grown to be a community of around 1000 people from all different ages, stages and walks of life. Our purpose is to live life the way Jesus described that it should be: caring for each other, enjoying diversity and creativity, reaching out to those around and living honestly and authentically.
Our life together is focused around two things:
Our Sunday meetings are where we worship together, hear stories of what God is doing and look at what the Bible has to say about living life in the 21st century. We have two Sunday meetings starting at 9.30 am and then again at 11.30 am.
Our group life: It’s hard to get to know people in a crowd, so we regularly gather in groups in our community where we can become part of family and learn about discipleship, becoming more like Jesus and having a healthy UP, IN and OUT rhythm in our lives and groups. Our groups include:
- Missional Communities for people to gather round a particular mission together,
- Life Groups for people to be equipped to be missional in their personal area of influence,
- Youth Groups for school years 7 to 13,
- Students for people studying at college or university, and
- Alpha for those looking to learn more about the Christian faith.
Because we believe the church should impact the wider community, we also have a social action group called King’s Arms Project which aims to support the homeless and vulnerable.
We are dedicated to training people who will be involved with starting new churches in the UK and abroad. Since the church started, we have sent numerous teams to start churches around the world. Our hope is that in the years to come we will have the privilege of sending many more to different parts of the globe.
