MARRIAGE PREP

Couple with wedding rings

Getting married is just about the most important decision anyone can make, so we want to make sure that anyone getting married at King's Arms gets the best start possible in their married life. We ensure that everyone who has their wedding service at King's House has our marriage preparation sessions, but they are open to any King's Arms members who wish to prepare for their marriage.

What’s involved?

Typically you will meet with an experienced married couple over the course of six weeks. If another engaged couple is getting married at a similar time to you, you will all meet together.

The sessions are based around a questionnaire which aims to highlight common issues arising in married life. Subjects like conflict resolution, sex, handling finances and marriage expectations are all covered in the sessions. All our marriage prep trainers adopt an informal and relaxed style which aims to foster an atmosphere of openness and honesty. You can expect your trainers to be as honest as they ask you to be!
