Many Christians feel a strong desire to communicate the gospel to their non-believing friends, but few feel well-equipped or confident to do so. Our society is often hostile to the church and it can be difficult to know how best to approach some of the strong objections that people have about faith. What do we say, for example, to someone who suggests that the cross has no relevance to us today, or to someone who thinks that Christianity is just one of many equally valid ways of reaching God?
‘Conversational Apologetics’ is all about listening to the reasons why our friends and peers reject the idea of God, so that we can begin to address their heart-felt questions. There are often many obstacles preventing people coming to faith and by providing answers to these, we can help them to see the gospel message more clearly.
This training day is designed to give Christians a greater confidence in being able to communicate what they believe more effectively, without having to duck the hard questions. Michael Ramsden and Michelle Tepper are engaging speakers who, as well as helping to train believers, are used to commending and defending Christianity in many different evangelistic settings around the world.
