The King's Arms is a Christian Church, started in 1992 which has grown to be a community of around 700 people from all different ages, stages and walks of life. Our purpose is to live life the way Jesus described that it should be: caring for each other, reaching out to those around, enjoying diversity and creativity as well as honesty and authenticity. You can read more about our purpose here.

The focus of our life together is around two things:

Firstly our Sunday meetings (at 10:30am and 6:30pm) where we worship together, hear stories of what God is doing and look at what the bible has to say about living life in the 21st century.

Secondly our Small Groups – it’s hard to get to know people in a crowd so each week groups of 8-12 meet together in homes around the town, forming groups of friends that can really get to know one another and enjoy hanging out together. We also have special small groups for particular areas – Innovation (for 13-18’s), Students and Alpha (for those looking to learn more about the Christian faith)

Because we believe the church should impact the wider community, we also have a social action work called the King’s Arms Project which aims to support the homeless and vulnerable.

We are also dedicated to training people to be involved with starting new churches in the UK and abroad. Since the church started, we have a sent six teams to start churches both in the UK and overseas. Our hope is that in the years to come we will have the privilege of sending more teams to different parts of the world.

Thanks for taking time to read about us. We would love to hear from you if you would like any more information about us.
