At King's Arms we have two youth groups for different ages. RIOT for school years 7 and 8 is led by Jake Cooper and Innovation for school years 9 to 13 is led by Becky Ross. Both groups have awesome teams of committed volunteers that make it all possible! Below is an outline of all the goings on youth wise… Friday Nights:
Come hang out with your mates (or make some new ones!) at the Riot and Innovation youth cafés @ King’s House! We meet every other Friday Night term time and have a bunch of stuff going on – giant bean bags, tuck shop, pool, table tennis, table football, console games, music and sometimes even a bouncy castle!
Later in the evening we have two different options to choose from – one where there will be opportunity to go deeper in your relationship with God (worship, teaching etc) and one where you can chill out and chat, ask questions and listen to a short ‘God slot’
We also have various social stuff going on throughout the term.Discipleship Groups: On the alternate weeks where we don’t meet as a big group on a Friday, we meet in smaller discipleship groups. These are groups of 3 or 4 young people of the same gender who meet with a leader. These groups are for people who really want to grow in their relationship with God, as discipleship always works best when we’re hungry to grow and are willing to invest in this. To be part of a discipleship group speak to Jake Cooper (RIOT) or Becky Ross (Innovation). Sunday Meetings: Most Sunday mornings RIOT go out after the worship to hang out, play some crazy games and learn about what it means to follow Jesus.
Innovation stay in for the whole meeting on a Sunday. However, once a month we go out and generally play some games and look at topics particularly relevant to youth. Innovation also have breakfast once a month before the meeting at 9.30am. Newday: One of the highlights of our year is Newday! It’s a massive youth festival run by Newfrontiers at Norfolk Showground that happens for a week every Summer. For more information and details on how to book click here.
