The King's Arms is funded entirely by voluntary giving from people in the church. Our current church budget (around £315,000 per annum) is almost entirely raised that way!  That's on top of the £1,500,000 that's been given over the last 7 years to purchase and refurbish King's House!

It's astounding what God has done! We believe so passionately that the church is the hope of the world that we feel it should be self supporting. We dislike the idea of going cap-in-hand to anyone - church should be a nett contributer to society!

This isn't some idea we've cooked up - the Bible actually has a lot to say about the way we handle our money. Jesus called his followers to give. It’s a basic part of being a Christian
who is committed to a local church. So, if you want to get more involved with KA then we invite you to join us on this radical adventure of giving. As we give to God's work we find year-in-year-out that he gives back to us far more!

So what's all this about a building?

Several years ago as a church we began the journey to find a permanent building for the King’s Arms. We felt God speak to us that even though we had no particular building in mind we should start to ‘invest’ as a church into this project. November 2005 was a landmark in that journey. Before our gift day we had a prophetic word that we would see £146,000 given in a single day. It seemed impossible but when the final count was done towards the end of November 2005 we had raised £146,343 in cash. It was nothing short of miraculous – not only that we could raise that amount of money but that God had predicted it in advance.

Now, several years later we've raised a staggering £1,500,000 and have purchased and completed the first phase of the refurbishment of King’s House; a 30,000 sq ft building on a 3 acre site just 1Km from the centre of Bedford. We now have a place where we can meet on a Sunday and facilities which can be used for the benefit of the community in Cauldwell. However there is still much more that we believe God is leading us to do in creating a sports hall, café, kitchen and facilities for the kids and we're likely to need in excess of £2 million. If you want to make an investment in the future of Bedford for the generations to come then we invite you to join us on this journey.
