front doorThe Nightshelter is our front-line residential house. It serves people who would otherwise have nowhere else to sleep for the night. The men and women who stay at the Nightshelter come from a wide variety of backgrounds. They may have drug or alcohol related problems, they may have suffered violence, or have recently come out of prison. Some find themselves homeless as a result of divorce or family break up.

Our aim is to make the Nightshelter as homely and comfortable as possible. We use a large residential house for our premises which provides accommodation for up to 18 people each night. We serve hot meals each evening and breakfast in the morning. The Nightshelter also provides a free laundry service to all the residents and visitors.

Mark, an ex-resident of the Nightshelter, and client of Onward said, “Without King’s Arms Project I would be dead from drugs and would have lost my family. But now I’m clean and going home to be with my family – I am starting a new job and a new life – THANK YOU!”
