The aim of the Onward project is to support the homeless in accessing accommodation. It does this by means of two floating support workers who meet regularly on a one to one basis with clients to provide help finding education and employment, teach life skills and provide practical support. They seek to encourage and motivate clients in making good decisions and grow in a sense of self-worth and frequently refer them on to other organisations who can provide more specialist support in various areas.
“I really want to thank King’s Arms Project for helping me get back to a ‘normal’ way of life…the support I received made it possible to adapt.” Avril, ex-Onward client (pictured here)
