What are small groups? It's hard to get to know people in a crowd. That's why we have small groups – groups of 8-12 people that meet at least once a week, usually on a weeknight. These groups are the main way we care for one another as church family and encourage one another in the Christian life. The groups should be about more than just a meeting as we seek to ‘do life’ together and also build genuine relationships with our friends who are not part of the church family. During your time together there may be some worship, bible study, praying for each other, applying the sermon from Sunday, fun, games, laughter and much more!
Where & when are they held? Weekly small groups take place primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Once a month there is an opportunity to gather together as a church at our monthly prayer meeting called THIRST. Each small group has its own identity, in locations all over Bedford and beyond! Once a term we also meet in ‘Clusters’ of small groups to get to know more people and to worship, receive teaching and grow together.
Who are they for? We have small groups for everyone (including a mixture of couples and singles), students and young people (up to the age of 18). Our groups are made up of people from all walks of life and all stages of spiritual journeys.
To find out more about small groups, contact the integration team or the church offices and we can give you more information about which groups meet in your area. You can also sign up on any Sunday at the welcome desk.
