Each of us has been wired for pleasure: we want something that can satisfy us forever. At King’s Arms, we like to celebrate because we have found the source of all pleasure in Jesus. As a community, we gather together regularly to enjoy time with God and with one another.
People of many ages and backgrounds call King’s Arms their home. Some of us have been Christians for most of our lives; others have yet to meet Him. You are invited to come along and take things at your own pace.
Our Sunday meetings start at 9.30 am and again at 11.30 am. King's Arms Later runs three out of four weeks at 6.30 pm. We have ample parking and there will be stewards to assist you with parking.
Our meetings are relaxed and informal. Our main aim is to encounter God and learn how to follow Jesus better – anything that helps us do that is in! During the services we want to express our love to God, so individuals often pray or sing out loud, raise their hands or tell us what they think God is saying to us.
We've all had the 'first Sunday in church' experience and know what it's like. No one is put under pressure to do anything they feel uncomfortable with, and you don't need to know the songs or anything about the Bible to fit right in. If you'd like to know someone when you arrive, then contact our welcome team in advance and they will meet you at the door!
Children and Teens
Children have their own activities during the morning service in our King’s Kids groups, which are designed for children from 0 to 11 years old.
Teenagers also have Sunday morning groups called RIOT (School years 7 to 9) and Innovation (School years 9 to 13). We believe that people of all ages should have an opportunity to learn about God their own way in a safe, fun and friendly environment.
Why not pop into our welcome lounge after the meeting where one of our friendly team are looking forward to helping with any questions you may have.
It's hard to get to know people in a crowd. That is why smaller groups are critical and we encourage everyone across the church family to be connected with a group. We have two main types of groups: missional communities (MC) and life groups (LG). Visit our groups page for more info and to sign up.
We also host a number of events throughout each month.
If you would like to find out more about the Christian faith, then you are invited to our Alpha course. Alpha is an opportunity to discuss the faith in a relaxed setting with other people who are exploring spirituality.
