Love the nations
At King’s Arms, our desire is that every church member would grow in loving God, loving the church, loving the “city” and loving the nations. We take seriously Jesus’s instructions to the disciples in Matthew 28:19 to “go and make disciples of all nations.” We are passionate about seeing the Kingdom advance throughout the world! We take teams whenever we can to invest in the purposes of God here on Earth.
In July 2013, we took an amazing team of eight people to encourage the churches in Zimbabwe. It was such a privilege to see how God brought the team together, provided for our needs and then brought about some incredible fruit as we partnered with Him.
Miracles in Bulawayo
We visited an amazing group of people who work to empower young people through teaching Kingdom, business and agricultural principles. While there, we prayed with 15 people who said they wanted to follow Jesus! We also heard stories from people who reported that they had experienced hand, back and knee healings; others were set free from spiritual oppression.
During the conference a lady came to the meeting one night suffering from repetitive headaches. She was in pain when God told one of our team about her condition; after we prayed with her, she reported that all pain left. Another woman shared that the back pain she had been experiencing completely left and a third who had wrist and arm pain for a long time told us that she felt no pain after prayer.
During some one-on-one prayer times, a number of people felt released from emotional hurt and disappointment. It was amazing to see people leave the room lighter as Jesus lifted heavy loads.
Breakthrough in Harare
We then travelled up to Harare for a Heaven Touches Earth conference, gathering Christians from churches in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia. Many encountered the Father's love in a fresh way and discovered a fresh sense of destiny for their lives.
- One lady who had experienced back pain for thirteen years shared that she had no more pain and was able to move with complete freedom.
- Another lady had such severe asthma that she needed to use an inhaler every time she climbed the steps to her flat. During the conference, she reported that she no longer needed the inhaler.
- A P.E. teacher had pain in his wrist from a break eight years previously, but he reported during the conference that he was now pain free.
- One particular lady told us that although she had once found her identity in being a high-flying academic, she now realised God's acceptance of her is not based on her success. It was a truly phenomenal time!
God’s love across the nations
It is always a privilege to travel and learn from other cultures. I felt inspired by the raw passion, hope and devotion displayed in a nation living in such uncertainty, and came away feeling I had gained greater wealth than I had given. I was reminded afresh just how big our God is. He is our Healer, our Saviour and our Redeemer. What a privilege to partner with Him!
