The Bedford River Festival which is taking place on 23rd and 24th July will have a multitude of events and attractions taking place, including: live entertainment and activities, countless river activities, six live music and performance areas, raft and dragon boat races as well as the Festival Market. This year the Bedford Festival of Motoring will also be taking over the High Street to present one hundred unique and interesting vehicles.
The River Festival is a free to attend event and attracts around 250,000 visitors offering something for everyone!
As a church, this year, we thought it would be a great way to bless our wider community and town and put our love into action! We would love to support Bedford Borough Council throughout the River Festival. Read on to find out how!

Join our volunteer team
The council will be looking for volunteers to support increasing recycling rates and the delivery of a reusable cup scheme during the festival. These 'Volunteer Festival Champions' will be stationed at key locations across the town to engage with festival-goers, raising awareness of what can be recycled and of the reusable cup scheme.
We would love to get a few volunteer teams together - it will be a great opportunity to engage with the public and to love on those around us in a practical way.
We would love your help!
If you are interested and can volunteer some of your time we would like to organise groups to take a 4-hour shift throughout the event.
We believe the impact we can have through serving will be far wider than just picking up litter - and we would love to hear from you!
