Storylines: Telling a Better Story for Women
Storylines: Telling a Better Story for Women
Back in June we had our first Storylines evening and started a conversation about the reality of women’s experiences of discrimination, mistreatment and violence. But how Jesus modelled something different. Jesus lived out a radical counter cultural message that valued and championed the women in his day. As His church we want to create a culture that empowers women, stands up against their mistreatment, and seeks justice for women in our church family, our local community and the nations.
We will be carrying on that conversation in our next Storylines evening on Thursday 7th October.
For this particular evening, the focus will be on women’s experience of physical and emotional safety. We want to create an opportunity to share stories and think about how we can take a stand against the injustice of these kinds of experiences. But it’s not just on the streets and it’s not just physical safety – we want to also talk about emotional safety in our social and working environments. And to think about what each of us, both men and women, can do to create safer environments in which women can thrive.
This evening is for members of King’s Arms Church.
Sign up to join us on zoom on the 7th October at 8pm.
