Re-Track is...
Re-Track is all about helping people get their lives back on track - especially after Covid-19. Based at King’s House, we regularly provide emergency food parcels for those in immediate need and if ongoing food support is necessary, we refer on to Bedford’s established Food Banks.
As a church we want to be good news to our town and beyond and Re-Track is one of the practical ways we do this. Recent projects have seen us provide laptops to local schools, Christmas parcels to our local elderly and vulnerable community, and we have sent a van full of aid to Poland to support those in need with the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
In the near future we're looking to support the town council with the river festival, run a fun day for families in our community, support our local prison and much more.
We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus and we'd love you to partner with us.

Re-Track: Career and Employment Centre
This new Career and Employment Centre is based at King's House, Bedford and open between 10am and 2pm, Monday - Friday. Employment is such an important part of many people’s lives. It’s not only a way to make a living but also a way to make friends, meet social needs, and contribute to the community. We give practical support to those who have lost their jobs during the pandemic. We do this by supporting people in obtaining and maintaining employment and bringing hope and encouragement at this particularly difficult time.
If you are looking for employment right now, we will help you create a good CV, search for jobs that suit your skills and abilities, apply for the right jobs and then prepare for interviews. In fact, we will walk through the whole process with you.
If you are a professional who works with jobseekers, then please do get in touch. We may be able to offer your clients one-to-one support with regular feedback directly to you. Call us on 07754 508648 for a confidential discussion or email re-track@kingsarms.org.
Re-Track is based in King’s House, 245 Ampthill Road, Bedford MK42 9AZ and, as a Covid-19 secure venue, we do everything possible to keep everyone safe.

Volunteer With Us
We would LOVE to have the centre filled with people with loving, willing hearts who want to help jobseekers gain the tools, skills and confidence to step back into employment.
Unemployment plays a major part in UK poverty, and since March 2019 there has been a huge increase in the number of people out of work. As rejection letters pile up, many people are left feeling hopeless. If you volunteer with us, you will sit alongside jobseekers, and help them to navigate searching and applying for jobs online. You’ll be able to connect them to debt advice, food banks or even English Language skills programmes. You will befriend them - and show them that there is hope. We want to be good news for this town and this is OUR chance to play a role in becoming the hands and feet of Jesus with some of those who need it most.
The centre is open for jobseekers from 10am to 2pm,Monday - Friday and you can either volunteer from 9.45am - 12pm; 12pm - 2.15pm or 9.45am - 2.15pm. You can volunteer as many or as few days as suits you and full training will be given. Please email: volunteer@kingsarms.org if you're interested in helping us and one of our team will get in touch with you.
Can’t volunteer but want to help?
Even if you can’t volunteer, you can be involved through giving financially, donating food items and through praying for us as we get this amazing initiative set up.
As part of this initiative, we are going to be giving out emergency food parcels and we need long-life food donations. We already have the very basics such as rice, pasta, cereals and so on. We would love to add some “treat” items such as biscuits, jam, tinned fish and meats, crisps and the other things we all love to eat that are still long-life. You can drop these off at Kings House Monday – Friday between 10am and 2pm.
And, of course, you can also be involved with the work of Re-Track through giving financially. Many thanks.
