Governance Oversight Team Archives

Sandra is one of our deacons, serving on our Governance Oversight Team, with the primary responsibility for Safeguarding. She partners with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the Safeguarding Team, drawing on her background as an independent social work consultant.

With experience in child and adult protection, mental health, mental capacity, and deprivation of liberty, Sandra is passionate about helping people walk in freedom and step fully into their God-given identity. She works to create spaces where everyone can worship Jesus freely in an environment of safety, trust and care.

Married to Fungai, Sandra is mum to two boys and can often be found on the rugby, football, or swimming touchline cheering them on. She has a flair for home organisation, enjoys long walks, spa days, afternoon tea, brunch-making, and cocktail creativity.

Nikki has served as a trustee at King's Arms since 2019 and contributes regularly as a volunteer within the audiovisuals team. She is also one of our deacons, serving on the Spiritual and Governance Oversight teams.

Nikki is passionate about living out faith in the workplace and speaks across a variety of platforms about team dynamics and values-based leadership.

Peter Humphrey is a trustee and one of our deacons who serves on our Governance Oversight Team.

Rob works as Governance & Finance Team leader, overseeing all the finances for the Trust. He is also one of our deacons serving on the Governance Oversight team.

Together with his wife Davina they spent 5 years serving at Project Gateway in South Africa and 12 years in Malawi supporting local churches, and at different times running a business and managing a mission hospital providing free orthopaedic care for children. They have four children, and one granddaughter, living in both the UK and South Africa.

Roydon is a church Trustee and is married to Jan who leads the ‘Sozo’ ministry at King's Arms. They have both been part of the church since the early 1990's. They have been married for over 50 years and have two children and five grandchildren now in their teens and twenties.

Roydon studied mathematics at university and worked in the aerospace industry for over 30 years before taking early retirement in 2006 enabling him to take on various leadership roles in the church. In the early days of the church, their home and garden hosted mid-week meetings and social events, while Roydon led the search for a building, secured King’s House in 2009, and oversaw its development in the following years.

Roydon and Jan now lead the Sunday Life Group at Blunham, in a building over 250 years old (and the maintenance is a never-ending activity!) He is also one of our deacons serving on the Governance Oversight team.

Roydon is a passionate football fan of Norwich City and for many years showed his support by driving an ancient yellow sports car, which has recently morphed into a much newer orange beauty! He is also known for his love of wine and well-constructed spreadsheets.

Simon is the Senior pastor at King’s Arms. He also leads the team that serves the Catalyst family of churches. He loves seeing people released into all they can be in God. He regularly travels around the world to teach and input into leadership teams at other churches. Simon is married to Caroline and they have three children. He can often be found paddleboarding, hiking or generally trying to find someone to play a game!
